REFUND POLICY
“Please choose carefully. You are entitled to a refund, exchange or credit note where the
goods are unused and in original mint condition up to 14 days from purchase date with the original
tax invoice/receipt unless goods have been sold at a reduced price when on sale, a special
order, a sales order, shop soiled, damaged or similar. In all cases, you can choose between
a refund, exchange or credit note where goods are faulty, wrongly described, different from a
sample shown to you, or don’t do what they are supposed to.”
NB: Refunds are made in the same payment type as was originally sold (ie Cash, EFTPOS, etc).
QUOTE POLICY
- Quoted prices are based on the information supplied by the customer at the time the quote is
produced. Variations to the original specifications may alter the final price.
- Quotes are made in good faith, however this does not guarantee the availability of stock.
- Prices quoted do not include freight/postage charges where applicable.
- Quotes are valid for a period of two (2) weeks only.
LAY-BY POLICY
- A 20% non-refundable deposit is required. Payments are to be made at least once every
two (2) weeks to keep the lay-by active.
- All payments are non-refundable if Lay-by is cancelled. No sale discounts will be applied
to any items already on Lay-by.
- Goods are considered sold from the initial Lay-By sale date.
- Maximum Lay-by period is twelve (12) weeks.
PRIVACY POLICY
My Big Event (referred to as “The Company”) abides by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector)
Act 2000 (Cth). The company’s commitment to its customers, employees and suppliers is of utmost
importance. Personal information may need to be collected as part of the normal business
operation. The company agrees that in such circumstances, the collection, access and storage of
data of a personal nature will be handled in the strictest of confidence and will never pass it
on to any person or company outside of the company.
Personal information may be collected for use as part of lay-bys, orders, in-store
competitions, etc. The Privacy law requires us to collect personal information about you only
from you if it is reasonable and practical to do so. The company takes measures to ensure your
personal information is protected from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure or
alteration. The company also takes measures to destroy or permanently de-identify personal
information when it is no longer required. The types of measures undertaken vary with the type
of information, and how it is collected and stored.
Generally, you have no obligation to provide any information requested by us. If you choose
to withhold requested information however, we may not be able to provide you with the goods and
services that depend on the collection of that information, particularly if the collection of
that information is required by law.
SALES ORDERS
(for printed stationery and other personalised items)
General
- Sales orders are taken in good faith; however this does not guarantee the availability of
stock.
- Completion dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed. Having said this,
‘My Big Event’ endeavours to adhere to the customer’s time frames.
Personalised Stationery Items
- Personalised stationery items containing variable data (ie guest names/addresses/etc) are
printed at no extra charge when the customer supplies the typed data in an electronic format
using the MS Excel Guest List Template spreadsheet provided. This data is used as a
mail merge and therefore must be typed exactly as it is to appear. My Big Event is
unable to verify the validity of the data, so please check and re-check this data to
ensure it is 100% correct. Instructions are provided to assist. Additional charges apply
if the variable data is submitted in any other format.
- To cater for last minute changes to your guest list, it is recommended that additional
stationery items (especially invitations) are ordered prior to production commencing
(at least 10%). Once an order has commenced, additional printed items will attract a
set-up fee of $25 plus materials (no set-up fee where the minimum order level is reached).
- Where applicable and unless otherwise indicated, blank stationery items will be printed with
a solid black line in the space where the guest name would normally appear.
- Colours represented on the screen may differ when printed. It is recommended to view a
printed sample prior to commencement of full production. Please contact the head office
if you would like this to happen.
- Where applicable, measurements indicated should be used as a guide only and may vary on the
finished product. Exact measurements cannot be guaranteed.
- All personalised items are hand crafted. Exact placements of materials cannot be guaranteed.
Variations between items may occur.
Samples
- Samples of personalised stationery (ie invitation/thank-you/etc) are available to be
purchased at $15 per sample.
- Samples are created using generic wording as a guide to the finished product.
- If you decide to place an order for My Big Event to create your personalised stationery
order, the cost of one sample will be subtracted from the total purchase (please note
– a maximum of $15 is subtracted, even if multiple samples were purchased).
- If you would like the sample replicated as the basis for the final product, please return
it upon placing an order so it can be used as a guide. If not returned, the final product
may differ.
Heat Press Products
- T-shirts, stubby coolers and some other personalised products are created using a laser
transfer process on a heat press.
- The laser transfers are hand placed and pressed in an approximate position – exact placement
cannot be guaranteed.
- The products are subjected to temperatures which may cause the material to scorch and/or
discolour.
- Colours represented on the screen may differ when printed.
- The colour of the fabric may affect the outcome of the finished product.
Payments/Collection
- Work will not commence on the order until a minimum of 50% deposit has been paid.
- Once commenced, all goods are considered sold and the balance must be paid in full upon
completion. A cancellation of the order will result in the loss of all monies paid.
- Prices are based on the information supplied by the customer at the time. Variations to
the original specifications may alter the final price.
- Prices quoted do not include freight/postage charges where applicable.
- Goods will be released only when payment has been received in full.
Errors/Omissions
- Design proofs are provided to the customer prior to commencing production.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that ALL information to be printed is 100%
correct including spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc.
- If an error is detected at any time after production has commenced:
a. where the material has not been printed in accordance with the confirmation email,
subsequent emails, and/or the design proof, it will be reprinted at no additional charge
to the customer.
b. where the customer has not provided accurate or complete information and/or has approved
the design proof, additional charges will be payable in full by the customer if it is
reprinted.
Copyright
- All artwork, wording, designs, etc. supplied must be free from copyright.
- By supplying such artwork, wording, designs, etc. the customer agrees to abide by all
copyright legislation.
- My Big Event will not be held responsible for any breaches of copyright legislation.
